Map Intro:
Audrey Hepburn said: “ Paris is always a good idea!” But we’ve discovered unparalleled beauty in the Southwestern France!
There are ancient castles built in the Gallo-Roman era and ghost grottoes for Catholic pilgrimages. You can feast in a seaside resort town famous for its oysters, or gaze up at the dramatic large frescoes of The Last Judgment inside the red-brick cathedral that dominates the skyline.
Also, you must not miss a small village built on the cliff. It’s known for its intricate religious architecture, accessed via a grand staircase. Pass through the Notre-Dame Chapel with its black statue of the Virgin, experience the Romanesque Gothic Basilica of St. Sauville, and finally stroll through a park where macaques play freely.
We explored food market in small villages, a beautiful bell tower, a glass elevator with superb views, and tasted the local food such as foie gras and speciality cheeses.
In this map, we added notes or “Quick Facts” under each village for your easy reference. Hope you like our tips!
