I was born and raised in Thailand, spending part of my professional life in Japan and Spain.

Last week, I went back to my hometown, and one of the purposes of my trip was to go back and taste the Bangkok Thai Food that I had missed for so long.

In this map, I also recommend 2 local hotels that I really like, and their pools are not to be missed!

Amazing Bangkok Thai Food Spot -1 – Eat

A Thai-style BBQ called “Mookata” restaurant with lots of choices from appetisers to types of meats. Much recommended for those who want to chill in the evening with friends!

Amazing Bangkok Thai Food Spot -2 – Eat

Owner Karn and his wife are very creative couple who are using the best ingredients. Happy with service and food, definitely would come back to try more. Very nice wine list and delicious cocktails too. Don’t miss homemade limoncello on the end.

Amazing Bangkok Thai Food Spot -3 – Stay

Checked into this cool 5-star joint with a big pool in the middle. Lots of room options, each facing a different way. Our room was sweet—new, big, and clean.

For breakfast, there are two spots to choose from, with plenty of options, including some healthy, organic choices. There’re loads of activities to do as well, such as hanging out by the poolside bar, grabbing Japanese-style ice cream from a famous shop, or shopping for traditional Thai stuff in the hotel store.

The location is top-notch—right by the Chao Phraya River, the major river in Thailand, so we had awesome views from morning to sunset. And it’s super close to Asiatique The Riverfront, this big open-air hangout. You can get there in no time. Just a heads up, it’s pretty awesome!
