Curious about Barcelona’s Montjuic district? You’ve come to the right place!
Montjuic is a beautiful area situated on a hill above Barcelona that offers a plethora of fun activities. It will take you about 40 minutes by metro to reach this area from the main part of the city, but it’s well worth your time to spend a whole day exploring this unique section!
Many of Montjuic’s most notable buildings were created for the 1929 International Exhibition. Spain wanted to put its best foot forward, so the government commissioned palaces, model towns, and more to impress its visitors. While the intent was to tear most of these down, several of these highlights still remain and are favorites of locals and visitors alike!
